LAPT Studio ("we", "us", or "our") operates a management platform for boutique fitness studios, personal trainers, and gym members. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our app.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: Name, email address, and password (encrypted).
- Contact details: Phone number and address.
- Profile data: Profile picture, occupation, and gym experience.
- Health information: Any injuries or medical conditions you disclose to your personal trainer for safe training.
- Booking data: Session bookings, room reservations, and booking history.
- Financial information: Bank details (for invoice payments), session fees, membership fees, and commission records.
- Trainer credentials: Qualifications, certifications, First Aid certificates, and public liability insurance (for personal trainers).
- Usage data: Device information and app interaction logs for security and service improvement.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate your access.
- To schedule and manage studio bookings, sessions, and facility usage.
- To match prospects with suitable personal trainers based on preferences.
- To process invoices, payments, commissions, and membership fees.
- To send you booking confirmations, reminders, and account notifications via email and push notifications.
- To allow personal trainers to track client progress, including measurements, progress photos, and personal bests.
- To generate AI-assisted workout programmes and training insights.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Who Can See Your Data
Your data is visible only to:
- Studio administrators — full access to manage studio operations, finances, and all client records.
- Your assigned personal trainer — access to your contact details, health information, progress data, and booking history.
- Gym members — can view their own bookings and allowance only.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account through the in-app "Delete Account" option, your account and associated data will be removed. Some financial records (invoices, payment history) may be retained for longer periods as required by tax and accounting regulations.
5. Your Rights
- Access: You can view your personal data within the app at any time.
- Correction: You can update your profile and contact details in Settings.
- Deletion: You can delete your account at any time via Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account.
- Notification controls: Gym members can toggle notification preferences in Settings.
6. AI-Powered Features
We use AI to assist with workout programme generation, contract analysis, and receipt parsing. Data you submit for these features (e.g., client goals, uploaded documents) is processed to generate results and is not used to train external AI models.
7. Security
We use industry-standard encryption and secure authentication. Access to your data is controlled by role-based permissions. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
